Death certificates of Andrew Batton and his wife Lilias McGregor

These are the death certificates of husband and wife, Andrew Batton and Lilias McGregor Batton.

Andrew died 30th November 1933 - ironically this is St Andrews Day in Scotland.

Lilias died 26th October 1927.

Robert McGregor Batton

This photograph was supplied by Doreen Batton. This is her father, youngest child of Andrew Batton and Lilias McGregor.

Robert was a cousin of my Grandfather, George Batton.

My Grandmother Jean King Batton

This is my grandmother Jeannie King's death certificate. She died of TB at Ayrshire Central Hospital on 15th January 1952. She was the daughter of Frank King and Maggie Brown.

My poor Mum is named after both of her grandmothers - Margaret McCurdie Brown Batton..... Hence the reason none of her children had middle names!

George Batton Born 1879 Died 1929 Aged 50

Birth certificate for George Batton, my great grandfather. George was born in 1879, the son of Andrew Batton and Lilias McGregor Batton. George married Margaret McCurdie and passed away at home in Galston, Ayrshire - cause of death was a heart attack at the very young age of 50, on 24th May 1929. Copy of death certificate below. How ironic that his son George was to die of the same disease, at home in Darvel, Ayrshire on 20th May 1976, aged on 59 years.

George Batton Born 1807 Died 1872

Death Certificate of George Batton, my great great grandfather who was born in 1807 and died in 1872 aged 65 years.

George was the son of William Batton and the certificate is signed by his son Samuel.

Is Samuel Batton the same person in the photograph earlier????

Samuel and Jessie Batton

These photographs are off Samuel and Jessie Batton. Samuel Batton born 1855.

I found them on the photos section of Ancestry.com website.

According to recent findings Samuel was the son of George Batton and Elizabeth Massey.

Could this be the same Samuel Batton?
